Four men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a 22-year-old woman died at the scene of a car crash on Christmas Day.
Two men, both aged 29, and another aged 21 were arrested on the day following a crash on Hendon Way, Edgware, north London which killed Maria Carolina Do Nascimento Migel.
The fatal collision happened after officers on patrol indicated for a car to stop at approximately 3.45am and it drove off unpursued.
A short time later police were informed the same car had been involved in a collision with another.
Individuals in the car that did not stop for police fled the scene on foot.
Two days later, a 32-year-old man became the fourth person arrested on the same charges of suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
Despite the best efforts of the London Ambulance Service, Ms Migel died at the scene.
The male driver in the same car as her suffered a head injury but the Metropolitan Police have said his condition is not serious.
The four suspects have all been bailed pending further inquiries.
